| Beginning the application process to an AustraLearn program is quick and easy. You can apply online simply by creating a MyLearn account. Along with the online application, we also require the following additional materials in order for your application to be complete: - Personal statement (included in the online application)
- Signature form
- Faculty reference form
- Official transcript(s)
- Passport sized photos
- $30 USD application fee (non-refundable)
You can send in all application items together or piece-by-piece and let us take care of organizing it for you. Once your application is complete, you should hear back about acceptance within 2-3 weeks. As long as you meet the minimum requirements set forth by the university and have a complete and satisfactory application, AustraLearn can accept you on behalf of the university. If your application does not meet the requirements, there may be some additional information that will be required. Acceptance into an AustraLearn program is not guaranteed. Applications are reviewed on an individual basis through rolling admissions. Call 1-800-980-0033 Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (MST) if you have any questions. EXPLANATIONS OF REQUIRED APPLICATION MATERIALS APPLICATION FORM: Complete the application form (front and back) including all required signatures. You can also apply online by creating a MyLearn account. The application will ask you to select your first and second choice for the program you would like to attend. MANDATORY WEB ACCESSIBLE EMAIL ADDRESS: In order to best communicate with you throughout the application process and your stay in Australia/New Zealand, we require every student to establish and maintain throughout the pre-departure process, and during the study abroad program, a universally accessible Internet email account. (This can be through your home university or with an Internet service like gmail.com or yahoo.com.) OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT: Order one official transcript from your home university showing at least 25-32 credits of completed academic work. This transcript can be included with your application to AustraLearn or your university can mail it directly to our office. If you are a transfer student and have only just completed your first semester at your home university, please send a copy of your previous university or college results. Transcripts must be official. FACULTY REFERENCE: For summer and January programs, a Faculty Reference Form must be completed online. Once your application has been received, your program details will be accessible through your MyLearn account (on the AustraLearn website). Your online application checklist will include a link which you can send via email to your advisor. Your advisor can then complete your specific reference form online. If you would prefer, a hard copy version of the form is also available from your MyLearn account. PHOTOGRAPHS: Obtain 2” x 2” photographs (of your head and shoulders). Black and white or color are both acceptable. Four photos are required for programs in Australia and Fiji; six photos are required for programs in New Zealand. These are for identification purposes on several forms and must be sent with your application. Please write your name on the back of each photo. You will need an additional two photos for your passport if you do not already have one. APPLICATION FEE: Write a check for $30 USD payable to AustraLearn. Canadian students should obtain a USD bank draft. This fee can be paid online by credit card if you use the online application. The application fee is non-refundable. Australearn will notify all accepted students of the flight details as soon as they are availble. SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITES: Several of the AustraLearn Short Course program hosts offer program-specific scholarship awards. Applications to these awards will be made available to accepted participants.
