| New Zealand university regulations require all overseas students entering New Zealand on student visas to have personal medical insurance. The cost of this required insurance plan is already included in your GlobaLinks Learning Abroad program fees. The plan helps you pay for doctor services in regular treatment or emergencies. In addition, GlobaLinks Learning Abroad provides all students with an International Student Identity Card (ISIC) to complement the insurance coverage in New Zealand. This card offers extra emergency evacuation coverage for travel both in and out of New Zealand. We highly recommend that you consult with your own insurance company regarding your overseas experience to ensure you will have adequate coverage. You may wish to investigate additional insurance for your baggage or unforeseen trip cancellation as these are not provided as part of your program fees. |
