| Location: Nelson, New Zealand This company has been brewing beer for nearly 12 years, and they've become so popular they had to buy more brewing equipment that allows them to brew 20,000 litres of quality brew a week. They have a new kettle, a new mash/lauter tun, another 20 conditioning tanks and 4 fermenters that allow them to brew twice a day. The internship will offer an overview of brewery operations including filling kegs; keg washing; stock control for 15 beers; tank cleaning; using brewery equipment; a hands on opportunity to brew from blending grains, putting in the mill, boiling, fermentation, and conditioning; and selling and marketing the beer. The beer made is only draught beer and not bottled. They have a team of 5 and the intern will gain exposure to all areas of the brewery. There is a strong possibility of beer journalism and writing for local beer press depending on the intern's skills and enthusiasm. More Internship Information |
