PDAC and PDNC Bridging Cultures Program
 

Included and Required in the PDAC and PDNC Internship Program Fees

 

The GlobaLinks Learning Abroad Bridging Cultures Program is our on-site orientation designed exclusively for PDAC and PDNC Internship students in Australia or New Zealand. You will arrive in Cairns or Rotorua on your designated group flight and participate in this informative 3-day orientation. The Bridging Cultures Program includes a variety of sessions focused on providing you with information relating to the country and culture in which you will be living as well as the opportunity to explore some specific aspects of Australia or New Zealand through excursions.


Our unique Bridging Cultures Program will offer you the opportunity to not only meet other students who will be participating in the internship program, but it will also prepare you for the cultural changes that you may find while interning in Australia or New Zealand. Our aim is to provide you with a sound introduction to the country while enjoying some of the exciting attractions.

Due to the important nature of the material covered during that orientation that relates to interning abroad, attendence in Mandatory.


*Please note that location and activities may vary for each internship intake. The PDAC and PDNC Bridging Cultures Program is not available to Custom Date Internship Participants.

EXCURSIONS

Excursions can vary and can change at any time, however the following activities are typically included
in each Bridging Cultures Program:

  • Day trip to the Great Barrier Reef (Australia) - Please note that SCUBA diving is NOT covered by HTH health insurance covered by the program.
  • Day trip around Wellington and a Seal Coast Safari (New Zealand)
  • A group celebration dinner is held the final night in downtown.

OTHER HIGHLIGHTS
  • Social time with other interns who will be in Australia/New Zealand during the same time period.
  • Exposure to a unique region of Australia or New Zealand’s beautiful capital city.
