Blue Mountains Day Tour Full day, from $103  Check out the amazing Blue Mountains on this full day tour from Sydney. The solitude, the breathtaking scenery and the awesome landscapes are all waiting to be discovered. Hunter Valley Day Tour Full day, from $100  If you're short on time in Sydney, this day trip is a great way to get the most out of your stay by getting out beyond the city itself. You'll find the perfect balance between culture, history and sightseeing. Setting out from the centre of Sydney proper, it's a very early morning start out of the city, via the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge. From this truly amazing feat of structural engineering, you'll have some fantastic views out to the Sydney Harbour and the Sydney Opera House - all must-see sights for any visit.
As you reach the outskirts of Sydney, to that point where city meets country, you'll drive through the Kuringai-Chase National Park, the second-oldest national park in Sydney. Surrounded by beautiful beaches, mudflats and mangroves, you'll be treated to some of the most spectacular scenery around. The whole area is also rich in Aboriginal history, and you can even see some ancient rock carvings - no doubt your experienced guide will be able to answer any question you have about the region's native people or other features of the park's history. Keep your eyes peeled as well for a kangaroo or two - the park is full of native flora and fauna, giving you the chance to see some of Australia's most loved creatures in their natural habitat.
It's then time to move on to the Hunter Valley, via Wollambi, to start off the wine tasting portion of the day. You'll stop for lunch at the picturesque Wollambi Wines Vineyard, where you'll also get your first taste of the delicious wines being produced in one of the most well renowned wine regions of Australia.
Next up is the Mount View Estate, set against the gorgeous backdrop of the Mount View Mountain Range - one of the most scenic and fertile sub-region's in the Lower Hunter Valley - before visiting the third and final winery, Savannah Estate. Afterwards it's time to head back into Sydney, where you will be dropped off back at the Oz Experience office, definitely well and truly maxed out on history, culture... and wine!
