Name Change GlobaLinks Learning Abroad began more than 20 years ago as AustraLearn (read more about our history here). In late 2011, the company name shifted to better represent the organization’s growth as an international education company with programs in a wide variety of destinations across the globe designed to provide students with academic, cultural, personal, professional and social discovery through study abroad. The cornerstones of our organization - high-quality programs designed to enhance students’ international discovery, experienced staff and topnotch customer service - remain the same. In fact, the unification of our programs under one name is designed to showcase our more global perspective on our business, which will only benefit our university partners and program participants.
Mission GlobaLinks Learning Abroad, formerly known as AustraLearn, seeks to foster the development of future leaders who, through an intercultural learning opportunity, gain a greater respect for and understanding of the relationship which exists between North American and the rest of the world in the context of the larger global community. GlobaLinks Learning Abroad achieves this by exposing students, advisors, and faculty to internationally recognized universities and other educational organizations through the promotion of affordable academic and cultural opportunities world-wide.
