RANKED #314 IN THE TOP 500 UNIVERSITIES IN THE WORLD BY THE TIMES HIGHER EDUCATION*
The University of Waikato is a government funded and internationally recognized institution offering high quality education to students of all nationalities. Over 13,000 students are enrolled at the University of Waikato. This is currently the highest international student enrolment amongst all New Zealand universities, including 1,100 international students from 60 countries. There are many sporting and cultural clubs active on campus, including a number of international clubs. Students enjoy the use of the ecumenical Lady Goodfellow Chapel, theatres and Live Band Venue, a large indoor Recreation Center, extensive sports grounds and an outdoor swimming and diving pool.
The Waikato Management School is amongst the best business schools in the world. We’re proud that the quality of this education has now been independently endorsed by the world’s three leading accreditation agencies. This is called the Triple Crown, and it puts us in a select group of leading business schools worldwide. Less than 1% of business schools globally have earned this distinction of excellence. The Association for the Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the world’s oldest-established assessor of business education, has just endorsed the quality of our educational experience. The European Quality Improvement System
(EQUIS) has already given us their seal of approval. And the Association of MBAs (AMBA) has endorsed the standard of our MBA papers. Together these accreditations are known as the Triple Crown. Three of our BE programs have Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ) accreditation and the remaining have provisional accreditation, making Engineering nationally and internationally recognized. IPENZ is apart of the Washington accord, therefore US students will be able to obtain ABET accreditation in the United States.
