International Relations Internships Available for Your Students:

Are your students looking for a valuable internship opportunity this summer or even next fall? Why not share with them the opportunity to complete this experience in Australia or New Zealand? These internships provide valuable professional training, while living in a foreign country allows students to improve on skills such as problem solving, independence, and critical thinking.

AustraLearn offers international relations internships for credit in Australia and New Zealand and gives 24/7 on-site support including a group orientation upon arrival in country. We have had over 200 internship locations in the past and we continue to add new placements. We custom build internships to meet interns’ needs, and bring our experience as the largest and oldest study abroad provider in Australia and New Zealand to ensure a great internship experience.

We hand pick each internship organization to ensure that students are gaining maximum professional development and are not subject to endless menial tasks like many domestic internships.

Application Deadlines Coming Up Quickly:

We still have three pre-set Professional Development for Academic Credit (PDAC) internship intakes remaining in 2010. The dates and deadlines for each are:

June 1 - August 13 (Application deadline February 26)

September 21 – December 3 (Application deadline June 1)

New for 2010, we are also offering the Professional Development for No Credit (PDNC) internships.  The PDNC is a 6-week pre-set internship overseas.  This year's dates are June 22 - August 6.  Applications must be received by March 1.

In addition to the PDAC and PDNC Internships, we also offer the Custom Date Internship Program. For this option, students can indicate their preferred dates and lengths. All applications are accepted on a rolling admissions basis and must be complete 4 months prior to the intended start date.

A Word from an Alum:

"Living and working in another country is truly the experience of a lifetime. Today we are part of a constantly growing multicultural society; to be able to expand one's horizons, observe, and be and active participant in the daily life of both a different city (Sydney) and office is absolutely essential for the future."
