Lessons from Abroad: How to Apply International Education in a New Context

A Conference for Students, Advisors, and Faculty

Just returned from a study abroad experience? Trying to figure out what's next? Join us for an insightful day of discussion and workshops to learn how to apply your study abroad experience now that you're back.

Space is limited! Don't miss out on this very exciting and beneficial study abroad re-entry event: "Lessons from Abroad: How to Apply International Education in a New Context." We have extended the
deadline to February 15th.

Students may register on-site at the conference, but we will not be able to guarantee lunch or space in the afternoon workshops.

Time: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Spend the day with fellow Nor Cal study abroad alumni on UC Berkeley's beautiful campus on February 23, 2008 from 10:00 am-3:30 pm at the International House. Conference events include: 

  • Key-note speakers, Ms. Kate Berardo and Dr. Bruce La Brack, who will discuss cultural transitions and highlight your newly acquired global skills
  • An Opportunities Fair with over 16 exhibitors from various international organizations offering information on how to live, work, study and volunteer abroad again
  • Workshops and panel discussions that offer career advice and training, provide resources and applications for further international endeavors, and encourage learning long learning and exchange amongst returning study abroad students
  • Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and a study abroad alumni handbook are included in the conference registration
  • Prizes for photo contest and raffle winners include a $500 flight voucher from STA, a $100 VISA gift card, Lonely Planet travel guides and pictorial books and much more!
