| International internships in Australia and New Zealand provide greater professional experience than many domestic opportunities because companies are smaller and thus interns are exposed to a wider variety of job duties. Living in a foreign country and being immersed in a new culture even further strengthen your resume by giving you skills such as problem solving, independence, and critical thinking. GlobaLinks Learning Abroad offers internships for credit in Australia and New Zealand in every field of study and gives 24/7 on-site support including a group orientation upon arrival in country. We custom build internships to meet students’ needs, and bring our experience as the largest and oldest study abroad provider in Australia and New Zealand to ensure a great internship experience. *All Internships are Unpaid The benefits of an international internship were highlighted in a recent article. PDAC The Professional Development for Academic Credit (PDAC) internships are 10-week programs which offer 6 academic credits from Chapman University in California. Chapman University is an established university located in Orange, California, with a strong mission in developing global citizens. PDAC Internships are currently offered four times each year and placements are available in almost every field of study. This semester or summer internship program allows students to earn academic credit and learn valuable work skills. Students who participate in this internship abroad program will also be greeted by GlobaLinks Learning Abroad in country for a three-day group orientation. Custom Date Internships Custom date internships are available for students who cannot participate in the standard PDAC or PDNC programs. These very independent, placements do not include credit, the Bridging Cultures Program, or group flight arrangements. Students applying for Custom Date Internship placements that seek academic credit must arrange credit through their home university. Academic requirements must be provided with the student’s application. Additional fees may apply for coordinating academic assessment. PDNC The Professional Development No Credit (PDNC) Internship Program is designed to offer students a shorter-term internship experience without credit. This unique professional development experience is geared toward students who only have a short timeframe available to intern abroad, but still seek to gain international exposure to their field of study. During this professional development 6 week internship, you should expect to be fully engaged and focused during the placement to maximize your learning experience. This 6-week, pre-set internship includes prearranged group flight services and the group Bridging Cultures Program. As with internships in Australia or New Zealand, the internships in China are available is almost every field. You can design a placement to meet your needs and take Mandarin language lessons during your program. |
